| Expedition to Bali | Borobudur Ship Expedition | ||
| Five patrons sent Danielle to Bali, Indonesia to create a series of over 20 paintings... | In 2004 Danielle was invited to participate in the international Borobudur Ship Expedition. As Expedition Artist, she traveled 10,000 miles with the replica 8th century Indonesian wooden boat from Indonesia to Seychelles, Madagascar, South Africa, and Ghana, painting and drawing. The boat was of a design based on stone relief carvings found on the ancient Buddhist temple at Borobudur on the island of Java. The unique body of work she produced during this epic voyage (over 100 paintings and photographs) was subsequently presented at a solo exhibition held at Thompson’s Gallery in central London. | ||
| Danielle makes every effort to create her artwork in an environmentally responsible manner. She uses the highest quality materials. This includes low VOC or no VOC paints, thinners, and mediums, and FSC certified wood for stretchers. She recycles whenever possible. | |||
